The Orbitkey Nest v2 collects all the items that would otherwise be lying around on your desk: keys, cables, cards, earbuds. Everything sits on a single level—nothing is stacked—and the lid wirelessly charges your phone while you’re at it.
Wireless Charging on the Lid
The left half of the lid is a charging pad with up to 15 W of coil power. Just place your phone on it—that’s it. The actual amount of power delivered depends on the device. The Nest is powered via USB-C; the included nylon cable (USB-C to USB-A, 1 m) is provided. Important: The Nest v2 is not a rechargeable battery; it must be permanently connected to a power source.
Interior can be customized as desired
Six movable dividers can be arranged as desired until every item has its place. The 36-mm interior height is sufficient for chargers, cable reels, and earbud cases. The deeper storage compartment in the v2 now also accommodates a MacBook charger.
- Card compartment in the lid: for cards you rarely use, without taking up space in the main compartment.
- Hinge that doubles as a pen loop: this dual-function hinge also holds a pen.
- Two cable organizers: keep coiled cables together.
- One level: nothing is stacked on top of anything else—you can see everything at a glance.
Materials and Workmanship
The surface is made of genuine leather, with a polycarbonate shell lined with a nylon-polyester blend fabric underneath. The dividers feature Dacron elastic over a latex core, and the hardware is made of zinc alloy. Available in black and ash.

Ich arbeite abwechselnd am Esstisch und im Büro und musste jedes Mal alles einzeln zusammensuchen. Jetzt kommt einfach der Nest mit, zuklappen und fertig. Die sechs Trennwände habe ich mir so eingeteilt wie ich es brauche, links Kabel, rechts Maus und AirPods, dazwischen die Stromadapter. Das Leder oben sieht auch nach Monaten noch top aus.

Handy einfach auf den Deckel legen und es lädt. Sieht dazu richtig edel aus auf dem Schreibtisch.

Den ersten Nest hatte ich damals wieder zurückgeschickt, weil mein MacBook-Ladegerät nicht reinpasste. Beim v2 ist das Fach tiefer und jetzt passt es problemlos rein, zusammen mit Kabel und Adaptern. Das Scharnier hält nebenbei noch meinen Stift, so ein kleines Detail an das offenbar jemand mitgedacht hat. Für Workation genau richtig, alles in einer Box statt in fünf Beuteln. Kam auch schnell an.

Nicht günstig, das muss man wollen. Wenn man sich aber anschaut wie das verarbeitet ist, Echtleder, sauberes Scharnier, stabile Schale, dann relativiert sich der Preis wieder. Ins Kartenfach im Deckel passen nur flache Karten, dickere Sachen lasse ich unten im Hauptfach. Für mich als Vielreisender trotzdem eines der nützlichsten Dinge auf dem Tsich.

Endlich Ordnung auf meinem Schreibtisch. Das kabellose Laden klappt problemlos und das Staufach fasst sogar mein MacBook-Ladegerät. Die Lederoberfläche sieht hochwertig aus und fühlt sich gut an. Kann ich ohne Wenn und Aber weiterempfehlen.
