Orbitkey was founded in 2013 in Melbourne by Charles Ng and Rex Kuo. Both had known each other since school. The problem was simple: jangling keys, scratched phones, too much noise in the bag. The solution: a key organiser that keeps all keys compact, quiet and ordered. The first Kickstarter campaign exceeded its goal of AUD 10,000 in 16 hours. The final tally was AUD 210,000 and around 5,000 backers.
LWG Leather and B Corp
Orbitkey is B Corp certified with an impact score of 83.7. The leather is LWG-certified (Leather Working Group), recycled nylon and recycled PU leather are further material options. For four years, all CO₂ emissions have been fully measured and offset. In 2025, Orbitkey won the Creative Industries Export Award Australia.
