Yamazaki: Japanese Order for Small Spaces

Four Generations of Japanese Design

Yamazaki is a Japanese family business from Osaka that has been making household objects for over a hundred years. Founded as a manufacturer of sewing tables for kimonos, the company evolved after World War II alongside the needs of its customers. Today, the fourth generation under CEO Shigeru Yamazaki leads the brand.

Timeless Design Philosophy

Yamazaki’s philosophy has remained consistent across generations: to simplify everyday life through thoughtful design. Every product combines functionality with minimalist elegance. The starting point has always been the small Japanese apartment: limited space, many needs. From this a product language emerged that works far beyond Japan.

Organisation, Storage, Kitchen, Bathroom

With thousands of products, Yamazaki has specialised in organisation, storage and space-saving solutions. From leaning ladders to dish racks, wall shelves to wardrobe systems: all pieces are characterised by clean lines, durable construction and materials in steel and wood.

From Japan to the World

Yamazaki is a household name in Japan and has risen internationally to become the best-selling storage brand, particularly in the USA and Europe. The products show that Japanese minimalism is not a design movement but a way of life.
