The INK isn’t something you buy—it’s something you configure. Three barrel colors, four nib materials, four nib widths. That adds up to 48 combinations, and each one writes differently.
It’s all down to the spring
All the springs are supplied by Peter Bock from Germany, one of the last independent spring manufacturers. They are Type 076 and can be replaced at any time.
- Polished Steel: Even and Gentle—Getting Started
- Black Steel: same writing experience, with a matte black finish
- Titanium: slightly flexible, direct contact with the paper
- 14-karat gold: soft and pliable, the smoothest finish
The available tip sizes are Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, and Wide. EF is best for tight handwriting on thin paper, while B is better suited for signatures and cursive writing.
Ink from a barrel or from a cartridge
The included converter draws ink directly from any glass bottle; just turn the black knob to do so. This means you’re not limited to the colors available in cartridges. If you want an easier option, you can use international standard cartridges—they’ll work just as well.
