A coiled wire with two twisted end caps. That’s all the mechanism the Closed Helix needs, and that’s exactly what sets it apart from the classic split key ring, which regularly causes people to break their fingernails.
Changing Keys Without a Fight
Remove the knurled end, slide the key onto the coil, and reattach the cap. Older models still have a threaded connection that needs to be unscrewed instead of a snap-on connection. The wire is 3.2 mm in diameter, which is strong enough to hold even a full bundle.
- Removable end cap instead of bending open
