Milanese is a weave of very fine steel rings that has been used for watch bands since the 19th century. It’s best known from the Milanese Loop on the Apple Watch. Craighill uses the same weave for an eyeglass chain that still looks great even when the glasses are set aside.
Mounting with silicone rings
There is a silicone ring at each end. It slides over the temple of the glasses and adjusts to fit, whether the frame is a thin metal one or has wide acetate temples. No tools, no screws—it attaches and detaches in seconds.
- 38 cm long, 1.1 cm wide, and 6 mm thick
- 14 g; you can hardly feel it on the back of your neck
- Silicone rings fit different hanger thicknesses
- It also works for AirPods cases—you can pull the silicone ring through the loop
