Copenhagen, Typography as a Product

PLTY (Playtype) is a Danish design studio based in Copenhagen, founded by a group of designers immediately after completing their education. The brand takes its name from typefaces: Playtype operates its own type foundry and applies its typefaces to posters, mugs, and home accessories.

Series Instead of One-of-a-Kind Pieces

The products are released in series—such as the “Lyrics” collection, featuring song titles from music history. The mugs are made of bone china, hand-glazed, dishwasher- and microwave-safe, and printed in the EU.
