The Sidewinder is named after the sidewinder rattlesnake and the trail it leaves in the sand. Instead of a fixed handle with a pivot point, it features an interlocking mechanical hilt: two opposing elements move in unison with the blade. It is the result of a multi-year collaboration with Studio Chen Chen and Kai Williams.
Standard
6.4 cm blade made of 12C27N steel, body made of stonewashed and black PVD-coated stainless steel, secured with a liner lock. Closed length: 10.2 cm; open length: 17.1 cm; weight: 159 g. The weight is clearly noticeable without becoming unwieldy.
Mini
Not scaled down, but shortened: straight blade measuring 3.3 cm, anodized aluminum scales, a flipper, and an eyelet for a keyring. Closed length: 6 cm; open length: 9.2 cm; weight: 38 g. Blade steel is also 12C27N.
