Karst is an Australian stationery brand from Sydney, founded in 2016 by Kevin Garcia and Jon Tse. The discovery came in 2017 in Taiwan: stone paper as food packaging, made from recycled limestone. Garcia and Tse recognised the potential and began developing notebooks from it.

Karst Stone Paper™ is made from recycled limestone and construction waste (calcium carbonate) — no wood, no bleach, no acids. Waterproof and tear-resistant. Per tonne of stone paper, 18 trees are saved, 2,770 litres of water conserved and 60% less CO₂ emitted compared to conventional paper.
