A cutting tool that stays on the desk instead of disappearing into a drawer. It’s modeled after the Japanese kiridashi, a simple knife with a beveled tip, reimagined here for the workplace.
A piece of metal, nothing more
No handle, no folding mechanism, no screws. The Desk Knife is made from a single piece, and its 128 g weight ensures that the tip cuts through tape, cardboard boxes, and envelopes with minimal pressure. The blade is symmetrically ground, so it works equally well in either hand.
- 13.3 cm long by 1.6 cm wide
- 128 g of solid metal, no hollow spaces
- Symmetrical cut for right- and left-handed players
- Three versions: solid stainless steel, solid brass, or stainless steel with a black PVD coating
