A pencil you never have to sharpen. The AEON by Stilform has a magnetic tip: just pull it off, attach a new one, and keep writing. No tools required.

Graphite or Eternal

Every AEON comes with an HB graphite lead. It writes like a classic pencil, can be erased, and can be sharpened with fine sandpaper. If you choose the Eternal version, it also comes with the Eternal lead. It’s made of a non-toxic metal alloy, produces a lighter line similar to a 2H pencil, and wears down so slowly that there’s no need to sharpen it. It’s not suitable for shading. For that, stick with the graphite lead.

Replacement leads are sold individually: the Eternal lead and graphite leads in a 3-pack, in HB or 2B.

Aluminum with wood veneer accents

The body is made of aluminum and features a wood veneer accent. At 27 g, it’s noticeably heavier than a wooden pencil, yet still light enough for writing long notes. The sides are flattened, so the pencil doesn’t roll off the table and sits securely between your fingers while you sketch.

What is the difference between the Graphite tip and the Eternal tip?

The graphite tip writes like a standard HB-grade pencil, can be erased, and can be sharpened with fine-grit sandpaper. The Eternal lead is made of a non-toxic special alloy, produces a slightly lighter line (comparable to 2H), and hardly wears down at all, so there’s no need to sharpen it.

What types of leads come with the AEON aluminum pencil?

The graphite version comes with an HB graphite lead. The Eternal version includes the Eternal lead and an additional HB graphite lead, so you have both. Replacement leads are available separately: the Eternal lead, as well as graphite leads in a 3-pack in HB or 2B.

How do I change the tip on the AEON?

The tip is held in place magnetically. You simply pull it off and attach the other one—no tools or screw threads required. It takes just seconds to switch them out.

How heavy and how long is the AEON aluminum pencil?

It measures 134.6 mm and weighs 27 g. This makes it noticeably heavier in the hand than a wooden pencil, but it’s still light enough for extended writing. Among the full-length AEON pencils, only the magnesium version is lighter, at 20 g.

Does the AEON really not roll off the table?

The sides of the pen body are flattened. This keeps it from rolling away, even on a slightly sloped tabletop.

What colors is the AEON Aluminum Pencil available in?
