Everyone has been using scissors since kindergarten, and most of the time, they’re just the ones lying in the drawer. Craighill wondered what a pair of scissors would look like that you’d never have to replace again. The result is the Chroma Scissors: a tool that cuts—and an object that’s welcome to stay on your desk.
Why it feels different
The body is cast from stainless steel rather than stamped. This makes the scissors, at 198 g, significantly heavier than a standard pair of office scissors, and it is precisely this weight—combined with the tight manufacturing tolerances—that ensures a clean, crisp cut. The blades are hardened and precision-ground.

The Four Variants
Black and Blue feature a ceramic coating throughout. Primary combines the primary colors red, blue, and yellow on the blade and handles. Silver & Orange features polished stainless steel with orange handle rings.

Care
Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not submerge in water, and do not use solvents or harsh cleaners, as these will damage the coating. It is best to store the knife with the blades closed to protect the cutting edge.
